The Story of Scripps Poway Eyecare & Optometry
Our story actually began 500 miles away when Drs. Keith Wan and Jay Mashouf met in 1993 on the campus of the U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry. Looking for ways to positively impact their community and seeing an opportunity to do it together, both men packed up, along with their wives and kids, and moved to beautiful San Diego. And so, Scripps Poway Eyecare & Optometry was born!
Though we’ve encountered many challenges through the years, our commitment to patient-centered care has paid off, and decades later, our clinic is an indispensable part of the fabric of Scripps Ranch and the neighboring communities, where we’ve now served the eye care needs of thousands of its residents and counting.
